DeJoria Center is excited to welcome country music icon Chris Janson on February 9. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
“DeJoria Center is thrilled to welcome the talented Chris Janson,” said Tracy Mullen, director of sales and marketing for DeJoria Center. “His upbeat attitude, groovy dance moves and stellar harmonica skills during his performance will be sure to give the audience at DeJoria a night to remember.”
Chris Janson is an American country singer and songwriter. While originally born and raised in Missouri, Janson knew that in order to fulfill his country music dreams, Nashville, TN was the place he needed to be. The summer after graduating high school, Janson packed up and moved to the city where country legends are born.
Moving to Nashville was a bold move. Raised in a hardworking, blue collar society, everyone from Janson’s hometown went straight to work after high school, but his dream would take something more. He showed up to the big city with whatever he could pack in his green Monte Carlo and began the job hunt.
From 2010 to 2014, Janson released several singles with some help from producers. Although he is an outstanding guitarist as well as harmonica player, the classic underdog with big dreams, no money, and a whole lotta heart, had his first breakthrough in 2012 while helping write Tim McGraw’s hit song, “Truck Yeah.”
In 2015, without any label support, Janson released his single, “Buy Me a Boat.” This was the song that made every adversity worth the pursuit. He then signed with Warner Bros. and went on to release a few more hit singles including, “Power of Positive Drinkin’,” and in 2017, “Fix a Drink.” With many of these songs making Top 10 in the country music charts, we know that this is just the beginning for Janson.
