DeJoria Center to Host 9th Annual Harvest Fest

Kamas, Utah  – DeJoria Center invites the community to attend its ninth annual Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 6 from noon – 5p.m. at DeJoria Center, 970 N State Road 32, Kamas, Utah. The festival will feature local food and drink, activities for kids, wagon rides, live music, local crafts and more. Admission is free for all ages and open to the public.

“Harvest Fest grows bigger and bigger every year with 2018 being no exception,” said Tracy Mullen, director of sales and marketing for DeJoria Center. “Nearly everything at the festival is local. From some of the performing artists to the food and drink, to crafts and activities; it can all be found right here in Utah. We hope to see the community come out and enjoy the beginning of the fall season.”

This year’s Harvest Fest features three artists performing throughout the day including:

• Che Zuro – noon-1:30p.m.

• Streetcorner Boogie – 1:45-3:15p.m.

• Honky Blue Tonky – 3:30-5p.m.

Food will be available from Lola’s Street Kitchen, Praise Cheezus, Wasatch Creamery and Tacos el Sombrero. Wasatch Brewer beer will be served by Deer Valley Resort. Recycle Utah is selling apples from Riley’s Farm Fresh and pumpkins from Park City Nursery, as well as the famous Park City Rotary Club apple pies with apples donated from ReLEAF Utah. Located at DeJoria Center, State Road Tavern & Restaurant also will open at 11a.m. and remain open throughout the event.

Local nonprofit organizations will be at the festival to provied information on their community programs and volunteer opportunities. Kids will be entertained with hay rides, crafts, farm animals and more. Proceeds from the kid’s crafts will go towards art materials for South Summit Elementary School Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Program.

Prior to the festival, South Summit Trails Foundation will host a 5K race around High Star Ranch starting at 9a.m. To sign up, visit southsummittrails.org.

DeJoria Center’s Harvest Fest is sponsored by High Star Ranch, Recycle Utah, Mountain Town Music, Summit County, South Summit Trails Foundation and Wasatch Brewery.
