In Press Releases by Lasca Lawniczak

Kamas, Utah – February 19, 2019

DeJoria Center is excited to welcome one of today’s hottest country music stars – Scotty McCreery on July 19. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.

“DeJoria Center could not be more ecstatic to welcome the young, ambitious and extremely talented Scotty McCreery,” said Tracy Mullen, director of sales and marketing for DeJoria Center. “McCreery has displayed a true reflection of himself through his music and has been able to hold true to his country roots since the beginning. Our audience here at DeJoria Center will be thrilled to hear how he has continued to grow as a musician by singing along to his new
album Seasons Change this summer.”

McCreery started loving country music as a boy when he was first inspired by Elvis Presley as well as Josh Turner, Garth Brooks, and more. In 2011 at the age of 17, the North Carolina native achieved national fame by becoming the youngest male winner of “American Idol” during its tenth season. Immediately after his win, McCreery released his first single, “I Love You This Big,” (certified Platinum).

McCreery made history with his album, Clear as Day, as he was the youngest man to debut his first album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and the album has since been certified as Platinum. This album also featured his hit “The Trouble with Girls” (certified Platinum), and the video for this song won the CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year Award. He also won the New Artist of the Year Award from both the Academy of Country Music Awards and the
American Country Awards.

McCreery’s second album, See You Tonight, also hit No.1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and featured both the hit title cut (certified Platinum) and “Feelin’ It” (certified Gold). He also released a holiday album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery (certified Gold), and his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Towards the Dream.

Now 25 years old and newly married, McCreery co-wrote all 11 songs on his newest album, Seasons Change. The album once again debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. The first single from the project, “Five More Minutes,” became his first No.1 single on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck Country Single Charts. Just this month, his second single “This is It,” which he wrote two weeks before proposing to his now-wife Gabi, also hit No. 1 on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck Country Single Charts. His third single from the album will be announced soon.
